We are situated
between the Gave d'Oloron and the Gave de Pau, both are excellent trout and salmon fishing rivers. These local rivers provide
outstanding fly-fishing opportunities. The river fishing season runs from approx March 15th until September 15th each year.
Fishing licences are inexpensive, both day and holiday tickets can be purchased locally

The Gave
D'Oloron (gave is the local word for river) is less than 10 mins away and this has held the world salmon championships and
the French national fishing championship. Each year there is a salmon fishing festival held in Navarrenx (10mins).
Both the two main gaves and their smaller tributaries offer the chance of some of France's best fishing at a fraction of
the cost in the UK. The rivers are fast flowing, un-pollutated and short between source and ocean and therefore offer great
salmon and trout fly fishing opportuntities.
There is lake fishing which continues outside the river season.
There is beach fishing along the atlantic coast.
